Janel is a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 with a strong background in athletics as an Ironman triathlete and former Division I soccer player. She took her first Bikram yoga class in college and was drawn to the intense physicality of the practice. As her practice evolved over the years, she began to focus on syncing breath with movement to achieve a mind-body connection and greater awareness. Yoga is the foundation of her athletic training and she teaches and practices to build strength, flexibility, endurance, focus and peace of mind. Janel loves teaching yoga as a means to inspire others to live healthy and joyful lives and believes strongly in the healing benefits of the practice. When not teaching, Janel can be found training, spending time outdoors and traveling the world.
